English Language Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda. Advisors: (I) Dr. Arbain, M.Pd (II) Dr. Abdul Rohman, M.Pd. Instagram is widely used in the digital era and has become an integral part of students’ daily lives. When utilized appropriately, it can support learning by providing access to authentic materials and encouraging independent learning. This study aimed to examine the correlation between Instagram use and students’ English academic achievement. This research employed a quantitative correlational design, with Instagram use as the independent variable (X) and students’ achievement as the dependent variable (Y). Data were collected through a Google Form questionnaire and students’ final English scores. The findings revealed a strong and significant positive correlation between the variables, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.681. Since the obtained value exceeded the r table (0.681 > 0.239), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (r2) showed that Instagram use contributed 46.38% to students’ English achievement, while 53.62% was influenced by other factors. In conclusion, Instagram can serve as an effective supporting medium for enhancing students’ English learning when used appropriately.
